Our Brusasol® AL 2301 is a bismuth vanadate (Pigment Yellow 184) with excellent properties. It shows a very good brilliance and high hiding power. The very clean and pure yellow color shade has a tinge of green. Bismuth vanadate generally exhibits very good weather fastness and is resistant to organic solvents as well as dilute acids and alkalis. Our product is free of harmful heavy metals. Brufasol® AL 2301 develops its color strength very rapidly, especially in aqueous formulations, faster than conventional bismuth vanadates. This is due to the special surface modification, which makes dispersion particularly easy by means of repulsive forces. Even in solventborne formulations such as coatings, the desired color strength is achieved particularly quickly.
Brufasol® AL 2301 is particularly suitable for exterior applications. The good ecotoxicological profile of bismuth vanadate makes it the best substitute for lead-based yellow pigments.
